Description: The rooftop solar installation on Fire Station #2 was conceived as a demonstration project by the City of Sunnyvale to show the public how solar technology might fit into the city‘s future by reducing energy costs — in this case, at the fire station.
 

Challenge: Installation at a working fire station without disabling the power for any extended periods of time.
 

Products used: 138 Sharp ND216 U2 modules, SMA Sunnyboy inverters
